Those Holiday Expectations: Fun Gear vs. Skivvies

We have all been there. We are opening a box that is large and perfectly wrapped at holiday time and all we can think about are all the great things we had on our list this year. But what are we met with when that wrapping paper and lid finally come off? Skivvies. Yep Mom won again, underwear. So we rip into another with our hope overflowing but what do we see? More skivvies? Socks? An ugly holiday sweater? It could be anything. Do this year we have a few pointers on how to impress, and maybe deceive your little prince. Of course he will be getting those skivvies, and probably some socks, how on earth he goes through them so quickly you can never understand, but just remember to hide a little something fun in there too.

Hints to hide some goodies with those Skivvies:

1. First off, buy some cool skivvies. Check out The Little King's selection of Knuckleheads Skivvies. With skivvies like these Knuckleheads Black Skivvies he won't be as disappointed when he realizes what he has opened.

2. Double up on the gifts in the box. Double line the box with tissue paper and place the fun gift at the bottom out of sight. That new DS game will hide perfectly underneath a second layer of tissue and those cool new Skivvies. Finally place a layer of tissue across the top and finish boxing and wrapping. Not only will he think he is getting a great and hefty gift when he lifts the wrapped present, he will notice that he seems to have less presents to open than everyone else. This will make him think he is getting something good. When he sees the Skivvies his big grin may begin to fade but little does he know there is more in the box. Smile at him and say something sneaky like, "gee I thought there was more in there than that? I must be losing my mind." He will immediately start digging around and lo and behold discover his new game or toy.

Now some may say this is a little mean to trick your little prince this holiday season. But think of all the gray hairs, crazy tricks, and antics he has put you through all year. The ball is really only in your court once a year. So enjoy the little chance to play a trick on him when you can. At the end of the day everyone will laugh and you will have a wonderful story for many holidays to come! Plus you still managed to get him to open the skivvies!
